Believed to be the only graded stallion standing in this country by Gribaldi (The number 1 sire in Europe, Internationally successful Grand Prix dressage horse and already the sire of 10 licensed stallions including Painted Black).
Even with limited outings Wish Upon A Star made a great start to his competition career by winning his Burghley Young Event Horse qualifier, scoring an amazing 15 out of 15 for conformation and also jumping a double clear in his only PAVO qualifier.
WISH UPON A STAR (Wizard) surpassed all expectations in 2008. His first crop of foals were stunning and his competition record exemplary, proving beyond doubt he is not just a pretty face!
They say 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder' well Wizard is truly beautiful. He has an exquisite head, beautiful turn of front and a great set of limbs. This is complemented with straight, athletic movement and an incredible temperament.
In his first season eventing he ran nine times, finishing in the top three on no less than seven occasions from Intro to Novice and collecting 15 points.
He also won his only BYEH qualifier and finished a credible 4th at the final as well as finishing Reserve Champion Sport Horse at the SPORT HORSE BREEDING CHAMPIONSHIPS at Addington.

Gribaldi’s sire Kostolany (by Enrico Caruso out of Kapstadt by Falke) is an outstanding source of modern sports and dressage type in Trakehner breeding, tracing to both the Anglo Arab Fetysz OX and the Thoroughbred Pasteur XX in his male lines.

Other good performers related to Wish Upon A Star through his dam’s mare line are the Elite showjumping mare Pandora (by Karandasj), the Burgraaf daughter Ironique, the Prix St George dressage mare Leonique (by Glendale) and the graded stallion Radbout (by Joost).
Pasmiek’s sire Houston (KWPN) by Belisar was the grading champion of his year in 1992 and went on to achieve a superb breeding index of 174 pts and the status of Keur stallion in 2006.
