Grafham Stud is the home of Jumbo, the International Advanced Eventer who has sired Badminton, Burghley, Bramham, Blenheim, Saumur and Rolex Kentucky winners.
His daughter, Headley Brittania, was a member of the Silver medal winning team at the 2008 Olympics in Hong Kong.
Grafham Stud is also home to Free Spirit Brief Encounter and Jigilo, who stand proudly alongside their father.
Many of Grafham's horses are out in competition this year.
Michael Jackson and Wish Upon A Star should be congratulated on upgrading to Intermediate during April
after only five novice events.
The summer will see Grafham represented at Chatsworth, Bramham, Badminton, Aston-Le-Walls and Pontispool.
Congratulations to Andrew
Nicholson on Rosemary Barlow's Jumbo gelding Avebury on winning the CCI*** Saumur yesterday.
Avebury has now won a CCI*,CCI**, and CCI*** - a wonderful achievement in his short career.
This has been an outstanding month for Jumbo stock highlighted by Headley Brittania's win on her dressage score of 32.3 in the Rolex Kentucky in Lexington.
Spring 2009 Newsletter
After ‘monsoon like’ levels of rain, deep snow and bitter cold, the early Spring sunshine has come as a welcome relief. I am a real sun worshipper and this winter seems to have lasted an eternity.
Luckily, Lucy entered Brief Encounter (Jerome) for the ‘sunshine tour’ in Spain.
